The film of Sokurov’s student was included in the program of the Berlin Film Festival

MOSCOW, January 23 – Novosti. The film “A bird is looking for a cage” by Alexander Sokurov’s student Malika Musaeva was included in the program of the Berlinale, follows from the publication on the website of the review.
The picture is presented in the Encounters section.
The tape was filmed in the Chechen language. Previously, the film was denied participation in the “Directors’ Fortnight” – the program of the Cannes Film Festival. Selector Alena Shumakova, in an interview with the Film Distributor’s Bulletin, explained the decision by the fact that the project did not fit into the general concept of the competition that her colleagues had developed. At the same time, the picture was highly appreciated by them.
The 73rd Berlin Film Festival will take place from 16 to 26 February.
