MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. In Sevastopol, at the Belbek airfield, the plane skidded off the runway and caught fire, the city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on his Telegram channel .
“An emergency situation at the Belbek airfield . According to rescuers, during landing, the plane rolled out of the runway and caught fire. Now fire brigades are working on the spot. Please remain calm,” he wrote.
As Razvozhaev later clarified, there was a partial explosion of ammunition on the plane, but the pilot managed to evacuate.
The fire was quickly extinguished, the airfield was not damaged, he added.
