He added that if Serbia had not built the gas pipeline two years ago, now the electricity would be cut off for 12 hours a day.

The Kremlin called the incident an act of international terrorism. According to President Vladimir Putin , “sanctions are not enough for the Anglo-Saxons”, they have begun to destroy the pan-European energy infrastructure.
Pumping through the Nord Stream has been suspended since the end of August due to problems with the repair of Siemens turbines caused by Western sanctions. But the pipeline remained filled with gas, as did Nord Stream 2 , which was completed in 2021 but never entered service.
