Festival “Moscow meets friends” opens in the capital

MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. The XIX International Festival “Moscow Meets Friends” starts in the capital, the press service of the show reports. Its motto is “Born Again!”.
The festival opens in the Svetlanov Hall of the House of Music. “Together with young talents from different parts of Russia, Slovenia and Armenia, the musicians of the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov will perform,” the press service says.
The participants of the review are guys from more than 50 regions of Russia and 25 countries of the world. “These are instrumental soloists, vocalists, composers, dance and choir groups, circus studios, artists, readers, orchestras, including children with disabilities,” the press service said. Among the speakers are children from the DNR, LNR.
The program includes more than 20 events in online and offline formats. The network will show concerts, master classes and exhibitions of artworks.
Musicians from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Spain, Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia, Costa Rica, China, Israel, Mongolia, Mexico, France participate in online performances and other countries.
Monastyrshina Julia, laureate of the competition. I.S. Bach in Leipzig and “Concertino Prague”, Doctor of Arts, Professor of the Conservatory of Sydney, Beijing, a specialist in the field of baroque style, will conduct a master class (piano) for children with visual impairments. A lesson for young domrists will be prepared by Ekaterina Mochalova, laureate of international and all-Russian competitions, soloist and concertmaster of the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia named after N.P. Osipova, project manager “Domra Anthology” at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, artistic director of the First Festival of Contemporary Domra Art “Prima Domra”.
The festival will award the prize “Mercy” for serving the ideals of humanism. Among the laureates of previous years are Leo Bokeria, Leonid Roshal, Yevgeny Mironov, Mikhail Kusnirovich, Naina Yeltsina, Eugene Chaplin and others. There will be two winners this year.
Also, at the festival, talented children of the Foundation will receive nominal scholarships. This year they will also be awarded to participants from the DPR and LPR.
The closing of the review is scheduled for October 10 at the “Workshop of Pyotr Fomenko”.
The Moscow Meets Friends festival is a large-scale project of the Vladimir Spivakov Charitable Foundation.
