MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. France is preparing to supply Ukraine with six to 12 CAESAR artillery mounts, which were previously intended for Denmark, Le Monde newspaper reports , citing sources.
France previously supplied the Ukrainian side with 18 CAESAR self-propelled artillery mounts with a caliber of 155 millimeters, taking them from the ground forces reserve. In September, French media reported that France would also supply Ukraine with 155 mm TRF1 self-propelled guns, which are no longer used by the French army.

“According to our information, France is preparing to supply Ukraine with a new batch of CAESAR installations taken from an order intended for Denmark. They can supply from 6 to 12 howitzers out of 15 requested by Kyiv,” the publication said.
The leaders of the three countries previously agreed on the transfer of CAESAR. It is noted that not all weapons meet the specifications previously designated by Copenhagen . Kiev , in turn, is ready to use the equipment in its current state.
According to the newspaper, in addition to CAESAR, France has already supplied Ukraine with armored vehicles, Milan anti-tank systems, Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems, equipment and ammunition “of all calibers.” Paris has been providing military assistance to Kiev since February 27.
French Minister of Armed Forces Sebastian Lecornu also proposed to his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov in early September that he create a fund worth 50 million euros, according to sources. From this fund, Kyiv could take funds for the purchase of military equipment from French manufacturers.
