On the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine
The Russian army has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Its main goal is to help the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, on whose territory shelling has not stopped for the past eight years. Our military has been tasked with minimizing the loss of personnel and civilians in the performance of combat missions.

Russian units are fighting for the liberation of Avdiivka, Artemovsk, Maryinka and Soledar of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Due to the threat of encirclement in the Krasny Liman area, they left the city and retreated to more advantageous positions. Over the past day, six command posts, 153 areas of accumulation of enemy manpower and equipment, 68 artillery crews, and four ammunition depots were liquidated. Front-line aviation and air defense systems shot down a MiG-29 aircraft, 14 drones, ten shells and missiles.

Since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have disabled 310 aircraft, 155 helicopters, 2,126 drones, 378 anti-aircraft missile systems, 858 multiple launch rocket systems, 5,203 tanks and other armored vehicles, 3,441 field artillery pieces and 6,025 vehicles.
