
MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. The mayor of Lvov, Andriy Sadovoy , said that the construction of a “pilot” biofuel boiler house has begun in the city, and over time, it is planned to build such boiler houses in all cities of Ukraine.
“Together with Naftogaz, we are starting to build a modern biofuel boiler house in Lviv. This is a pilot project for Ukraine. The next step is the construction of such boiler houses in all cities, this does not mean giving up gas, but the roadmap is clear,” Sadovyi said in his Telegram -channel.
According to him, the capacities of the future boiler house will be enough to provide a quarter of the regional center with heat. The enterprise will start operating in February 2023, the cost of the project is about 1 billion hryvnia ($27 million).
Earlier, the head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko , said that already in the next heating season it is planned to completely abandon gas for central heating and switch to heating with biomass and garbage.
