In addition, a suspension of all political and civil society activities was announced. The military also announced the forthcoming convening of “the living forces of the nation to appoint a civilian or military president.”
On Friday, Faso reported that the sounds of gunfire could be heard in several areas of Burkina Faso’s capital , Ouagadougou , including the main military camp in the city of Baba Sou.
