
SARATOV, Oct 1 – Novosti. Residents of the Penza region, called up as part of partial mobilization, have started training in combat coordination, all fighters have received uniforms, their places of residence are heated, Governor Oleg Melnichenko said .
“In the Penza region, combat coordination classes have begun for those called up from the reserve as part of partial mobilization. Servicemen remember theory, practice in possession of weapons, participate in shooting, master modern military equipment. Not a single fighter will be sent to the zone of a special military operation unprepared,” – wrote Melnichenko in the Telegram channel.
He noted that he keeps the issue of providing the mobilized with everything necessary under control. “I personally made sure that all the fighters were given military uniforms for the season, hot meals were provided, heating was turned on at temporary deployment points,” the head of the region added.
Earlier, the press service of the regional government told Novosti that on September 25, the region began sending those called up as part of partial mobilization to training sites with subsequent deployment to the troops. Ombudsman of the region Elena Rogova visited one of the training centers on September 26 and stated that the mobilized did not complain about living conditions and food.
By decree of President Vladimir Putin , a partial mobilization has been announced in Russia since September 21 . According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu , it is needed to control the 1,000-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine . During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense noted.
