The decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“For courage and heroism shown in the line of duty, award the title of Hero of the Russian Federation to Colonel Aleksey Viktorovich Katerinichev (posthumously),” the document says.
The day before, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a blow from the HIMARS MLRS in the center of Kherson. According to Alexander Malkevich, a member of the Russian Public Chamber, they targeted the house where Katerinichev lived. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of the shelling.
Katerinichev is from the city of Rybinsk , Yaroslavl region . Graduated from the Border Academy of the FSB . In August of this year, he became the first deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region for security.
