
MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. Aleksey Ilyashevich, a journalist for the Kaliningrad edition of RuBaltic.Ru, was killed in clashes near Avdeevka, editor-in-chief Alexander Nosovich said .
“It became known that my friend, student and co-author, columnist for RuBaltic.Ru Aleksey Ilyashevich died in the battles near Avdeevka,” the editor-in-chief wrote.
It is noted that Ilyashevich also acted as an expert on the Sputnik Belarus website.
The journalist was born in the city of Yenakiyevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In 2014 he graduated from high school, but after studying for a year at Kharkov University, he returned to the republic.
“Lesha realized that in this war he was on the side of the DPR and Russia, and preferred to study and work under bombs at the journalism department of Donetsk University,” Nosovich noted, adding that at the same time Ilyashevich volunteered for the People’s Militia of the DPR and went to the front line.
Since February 24, a military special operation has been underway to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called it the ultimate goal of the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
From 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, in Kherson and in the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region , referendums were held on joining Russia. In all these regions, the overwhelming majority of those who voted were in favor. On September 30, President Vladimir Putin signed treaties on the admission of new territories to Russia.
