The catamaran “Moskva”, which was sailing from Vladivostok to Popov Island with 174 passengers and 4 crew members on board, ran aground in the Stark Strait near Russky Island in heavy fog, Novosti reported at the mayor’s office. The ship is not damaged. The vessel “Lotos” and a barge, two boats of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to the area of the incident . The passengers were evacuated. The Primorsky Transport Prosecutor’s Office checks the compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the safety of navigation.
“In the Primorsky Territory , a pre-investigation check was organized in connection with an incident that occurred with a passenger catamaran. There were no casualties, the ship was not damaged. An investigation team consisting of investigators and forensic specialists went to the scene,” the investigation said.
The audit will be made a procedural decision.
