The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov instructed to contact the family of each person called up for partial mobilization and find out what kind of support they need, as well as to respond specifically to each situation, the press service of the city governor’s administration reports .
Beglov visited a military unit where mobilized from three regions are being trained – St. Petersburg, Karelia and the Komi Republic . He got acquainted with the living conditions, the quality of food and the situation in the training center, where combat coordination is carried out.
It is noted that the city provided a collection point at the training center of the Budyonny Military Academy of Communications with additional equipment necessary for the mobilized.
Beglov recalled that the city had made important decisions on additional measures of social support to be provided to the mobilized residents of St. Petersburg and their families.
“I instructed to initiate contact with the family of each mobilized person, to find out what kind of support or assistance they need. The district social and medical services were instructed to respond promptly and targetedly to each situation,” Beglov said, whose words are quoted in the message.
The children of the mobilized will receive an expanded package of social guarantees. These are priority admission to educational institutions, exemption from parental fees in kindergartens, free meals in schools, free public transport, trips to holiday camps at the expense of the budget, the report says.
In Russia , a partial mobilization has been announced by presidential decree since September 21. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu , it is needed to control the 1,000-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine . During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation.
