The Kremlin explained the postponement of the autumn call to November 1

MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. The decision to postpone the start of the autumn conscription from October 1 to November 1 is due to the overload of military registration and enlistment offices, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the president, told Novosti.
“Now the military registration and enlistment offices are heavily overloaded due to partial mobilization. In order not to aggravate this overload, such a decision was made. It will allow diluting the flows of mobilized and conscripts,” he said.
The decree on the autumn conscription was signed the day before by Vladimir Putin . As follows from the document, from November 1 to December 31, 120,000 people aged 18 to 27 will be drafted into the army.
Since September 21, partial mobilization has been taking place in Russia . According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu , it is needed to control the thousand-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine . It is planned to call up to 300,000 reservists – as Putin emphasized, these are, first of all, those who have served in the military and have in-demand military specialties and relevant experience.
