The limit of duty-free import of goods into the EAEU has temporarily decreased

MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. The increased threshold for duty-free importation of goods into the EAEU in the amount of 1,000 euros is temporarily suspended from October 1 – from this date, it will be possible to import into the territory of the union goods purchased in online stores without paying duties only for 200 euros.
If the value of the parcel is higher, you will have to pay a fee of 15% of the value, but not less than two euros for each kilogram of excess.
Earlier, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission ( EEC ) extended the increased threshold of 1,000 euros until April 2, 2023. However, the corresponding decision of the EEC Council has not been officially published, therefore, from October 1 and until the entry into force of the decision, the duty-free threshold of 200 euros will be temporarily applied.
As explained by the Federal Customs Service, the adopted decision of the EEC Council will come into force 10 days after its official publication. As soon as this happens, the amounts of customs payments overpaid since October 1 will be returned to the payers in the prescribed manner.
