MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov will meet with the winners of the competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia – 2022” at the final test “Pedagogical Council”, which will be held on October 3 in Moscow. As part of the competition, five teachers who have become the best in the two previous rounds of the final will talk with the minister about the current challenges of modern education.
“Winners of the competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia” are teachers with a special vision for the development of the national education system. At the same time, they must be able to present their ideas to authoritative members of the jury. I am sure that an interesting and constructive discussion of the educational agenda will take place during the next competitive test,” – noted Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.
Under the terms of the test, which will be held at the Pashkov House in Moscow, the winners will present their initiatives and proposals for solving urgent problems of modern education. The contestant is given five minutes to speak and another 15 minutes to discuss his ideas with the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov and his rivals.
The members of the expert, parental and student jury will evaluate the winners according to three criteria, including an understanding of the trends in the development of education and issues of state educational policy, the depth and originality of judgments, the validity and constructiveness of proposals, a personal position and communicative culture.
Mikhail Nyankovsky, director of Academy 76, winner of the 1994 Russian Teacher of the Year contest, noted that the winners should be bold and not be afraid to point out problems in the field of education.
“The contestants seem to have a little left, just one step before victory, however, you can easily fail everything. I wish the winners, answering the questions that will be raised there (at the teachers’ council – ed.), speaking to a high audience, including the minister of education, not to speak platitudes. It is necessary to talk about what really worries or is a problem, as well as what solutions the contestants offer. This meeting with the minister is a chance to change something. After all, the more honest, the sharper, more precisely the problem is identified, the faster it will be resolved. Therefore, there is no need to speak platitudes, but it is necessary to delicately, politely and very specifically raise the most important questions and problems in this audience,” he stressed.
The competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia”, which remains one of the largest events in the field of pedagogy, started in Tyumen on September 21. In 2022, it will be held for the 33rd time. The winner will be announced on October 5 in Moscow, and the competition will end with a gala concert at the State Kremlin Palace.
