DONETSK, October 1 – Novosti. The shelling by the Ukrainian security forces will continue even after becoming part of Russia, in order for them to stop, it is necessary to move the enemy as far as possible from the borders, Andrey Voroshilov, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR, believes.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR , Kherson and Zaporozhye regions , after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia.
“Ukrainian punishers received a certain carte blanche from their masters for further shelling. There is no doubt that they will take advantage of this without hesitation. Unfortunately, the shelling will continue. They will stop only when we drive the enemy away from our lines, and also better – to the Polish border,” Voroshilov told Novosti.
He recalled that the United States had already stated that they would not object to the use by Kiev of long-range and high-precision weapons in the territories that became part of Russia. According to him, during the referendum on joining the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian security forces increased the frequency and intensity of shelling of the Republic, trying to prevent the vote. They have not stopped even now.
“In impotent rage, directed primarily at the civilian population, the AFU (the armed formations of Ukraine – ed.) continue to conduct chaotic shelling of our settlements. Realizing that this territory will no longer return to them – and we are talking about the territory, people will not needed – they are trying to inflict as much damage as possible, destroying the infrastructure and housing stock of the Republic,” Voroshilov said.
In his opinion, “only complete demilitarization and denazification of terrorist Ukraine” will allow the Republic to live in peace.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
