SIMFEROPOL, October 1 – Novosti. Ukraine’s entry into NATO will have disastrous consequences for the alliance – it will inevitably fall apart, State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet told Novosti.
Earlier , Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is applying to join NATO in an expedited manner.
“There is nothing strange and surprising in this for us. These statements do not frighten us. But for NATO, Ukraine’s entry will be disastrous, the alliance will break into small pieces. NATO expansion at the expense of Ukraine will already pose a direct threat to the Russian Federation, with which our country puts up Zelensky now wants to bring NATO under the scaffold in order to solve his problems at their expense,” Sheremet said.
According to him, Ukraine can be saved not by joining NATO, but by complete surrender and negotiations with Russia .
