The government of Ukraine has agreed on a new sanctions list of 3,600 Russian individuals and legal entities against whom sanctions pressure will be increased with the help of the G7 countries in Germany, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports on Saturday .
“The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine ( NSDC ) on September 30 decided to introduce new packages of sanctions against more than 3,600 individuals and legal entities,” the message on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine says.
According to Economy Minister Yuliy Sviridenko, the potential for tougher sanctions is far from being exhausted, as was mentioned, in particular, during a recent meeting with the trade ministers of the G7 countries in Germany. She noted that the government will continue to “synchronize sanctions actions” with international partners.
According to the department, the list includes children and relatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his close associates, representatives of regional elites and authorities of the Russian Federation, representatives of the top leadership of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, oligarchs, representatives of the governments of the LPR and DPR , artists, including citizens of Ukraine. Sanctions have also been adopted against foreign citizens – international observers at referendums. Sanctions have also been introduced against key backbone companies, banks, mining, energy, communications, logistics and other industries.
Earlier, Zelensky said that the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine imposed sanctions against 606 representatives of the Russian authorities. He clarified that sanctions were imposed on 28 members of the Russian Security Council, 154 members of the Russian Federation Council , 424 State Duma deputies .
