“Fire was recorded from the side of the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine – ed.) in the direction: 14.50 – the settlement of Orlovka – the settlement of Makeevka (Gornyatsky district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired; 16.08 – the settlement of Krasnogorovka – the city of Donetsk ( Petrovsky district ) : three shells of 152 mm caliber were fired; 16.30 – the settlement of Orlovka – the settlement of Mineralny: three shells of 155 mm caliber were fired,” the mission’s Telegram channel reported.
In addition, according to the report, Ukrainian troops at 16.29 and 16.37 shelled the Gornyatsky and Chervonogvardeysky districts of Makeyevka, firing a total of six shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters.
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries . The United States supplied Kiev with long-range M-777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics . Also, the Kyiv troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
