Ukrainian troops shelled the Chervonogvardeisky district of Makeyevka, firing three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters, according to the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine.
“Fire was recorded from the armed formations of Ukraine in the direction: 21.38 (coincides with Moscow time) – the settlement of Orlovka – the settlement of Makeevka (Chervonogvardeisky district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired,” the mission’s Telegram channel reported.
In the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin on September 30, following the results of referendums, a ceremony was held to sign agreements on the admission of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics , Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia . The documents were signed by Vladimir Putin and the heads of regions: Denis Pushilin , Leonid Pasechnik , Evgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo .
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries . The United States supplied Kiev with long-range M-777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Also, the Kyiv troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
