Ukrainian Foreign Minister says he discussed support for Ukraine with NATO Secretary General

MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said that he had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the parties discussed the “practical steps” of the alliance to support Ukraine.
“I had a conversation with Jens Stoltenberg in order to inform him in detail about Ukraine’s application for membership (in the alliance). We agreed to maintain contact on this issue and discussed further practical NATO steps to support Ukraine,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said earlier that Ukraine is applying to join NATO in an expedited manner. Carrying out the procedure for the admission of Ukraine to NATO is now untimely, later said the assistant to the President of the United States for national security Jake Sullivan .
