MOSCOW, October 1 – Novosti. Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree canceling the demobilization of conscripts planned for autumn, while there will be no autumn conscription, the corresponding document is published on his website.
In December 2021, Zelensky signed a decree that determined the procedure and terms for the transfer to the reserve of conscripts and the timing of the next conscription in 2022. According to the document, the draft in 2022 was to be held in April-June and October-December. Military personnel who completed military service were also supposed to retire in April-June and October-December.
In the spring of 2022, Zelensky signed another decree, according to which conscripts can go into the reserve in April-June “not earlier than the announcement of demobilization in the prescribed manner,” and the item on spring conscription was canceled.
Now, “not before the announcement of demobilization in the prescribed manner” the conscripts, whose term of service expired in October-December, will not be able to go into the reserve, and the article on the autumn conscription has been excluded from the decree.
