
WASHINGTON, Oct 2 – Novosti. National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan discussed the situation around Ukraine with the chief adviser to the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin, the press service of the White House reports .
“Sullivan met with Kalyn in Istanbul . They discussed the ongoing support for Ukraine,” the press service said in a press release.
Sullivan thanked his Turkish colleague for his efforts to strengthen global food security and diplomatic work to release “two Americans held in the Russian Federation ,” the White House said.
The parties discussed the situation around Armenia and Azerbaijan , the importance of dialogue to resolve disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean and progress in the work on the admission of Finland and Sweden to NATO , the report says.
