
MOSCOW, October 2 – Novosti. Russian aviation destroyed more than 200 Ukrainian militants in the Krasny Liman region, the Defense Ministry told reporters.
“In the Krasnolimansky direction, as a result of air strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area of the settlement of Yampolovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic , the enemy ‘s losses amounted to more than 200 military personnel, 320 wounded, ten tanks and 25 infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed,” the report says.
The department also spoke about the attempts of the Ukrainian troops to advance simultaneously on the Nikolaev, Andreevsky and Krivoy Rog tactical directions. The most active operations were carried out in the area of Davydov Brod – there the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to six battalions, including two tank ones. At the same time, two reinforced battalion tactical groups were advancing in the areas of the villages of Bruksinskoye and Kostromka.
“As a result of stubborn defense and massive fire strikes by Russian troops, the enemy’s offensive in this area was thwarted. 31 tanks, 78 units of special equipment and more than 240 Ukrainian servicemen were destroyed,” the Defense Ministry noted.
In general, the Russian army destroyed 43 Ukrainian tanks, 89 units of other military equipment and over 400 military personnel in the Nikolaev-Kryvyi Rih direction during the day.
In the Kupyansk direction, it launched missile attacks on the areas of concentration of the 92nd and 14th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The losses of these units amounted to over 100 people and 12 units of military equipment.
Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine . Vladimir Putin called its task “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russia itself.
From September 23 to 27, referendums were held in these regions, in which the overwhelming majority of those who voted were in favor of joining Russia. On September 30, President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR , Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the admission of new territories to Russia.
