Blinken promised Kuleba “help” in the issue of territories

WASHINGTON, October 2 – Novosti. Washington is ready to assist Kyiv’s efforts to regain control over “its territories,” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba. The transcript of the conversation is published on the website of the State Department.

“The Secretary of State reaffirmed President (Joe) Biden’s message that the United States will always respect Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders, and we will continue to support Ukraine’s efforts to regain control of its territories by strengthening its position both militarily and diplomatically,” it follows from statements.

In addition, as noted, Blinken discussed with Kuleba the provision of American military assistance to Kyiv, including the last tranche allocated by Washington in the amount of $1.1 billion.

“The Secretary of State and the Foreign Secretary also discussed efforts to ensure that the export of Ukrainian grain continues to meet the needs of the most needy people around the world, and also touched upon issues of ensuring the security of Ukraine’s nuclear facilities,” the US State Department said.

From 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics , in Kherson and in the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region , referendums were held on joining Russia . In all these regions, the overwhelming majority of those who voted were in favor. On September 30, President Vladimir Putin signed treaties on the admission of new territories to Russia.
Washington did not recognize the results of the plebiscite.
