According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a message about a fire in a two-story apartment building in the Markha microdistrict of the city of Yakutsk was received on Sunday at about eight o’clock in the morning local time.
At the time of the arrival of the fire and rescue service, smoke was visible from the window of the apartment on the second floor.
“25 people, including 5 children, were evacuated from the site. As a result of the fire, an apartment on the second floor on an area of 20 square meters was partially damaged by fire. Unfortunately, the dead were found at the scene of the fire: presumably a man and a child,” the press said. -service.
As noted in the department, the cause of the fire, the person responsible and the damage are being established. In total, 63 personnel and 15 units of fire equipment were involved in extinguishing. An investigator of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and investigating authorities are working at the scene of the fire.
