On the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine
The Russian army has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Its main goal is to help the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, on whose territory shelling has not stopped for the past eight years. Our military has been tasked with minimizing the loss of personnel and civilians in the performance of combat missions.

Russian units are fighting for the liberation of Avdiivka, Artemovsk, Maryinka and Soledar of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Over the past day, a command and observation post, 178 areas of accumulation of enemy manpower and equipment, 51 artillery crews, and seven ammunition depots were liquidated. Front-line aviation and air defense systems shot down eight drones, 22 shells of the American HIMARS MLRS and a Tochka-U ballistic missile.

Since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have disabled 310 aircraft, 155 helicopters, 2,134 drones, 378 anti-aircraft missile systems, 858 multiple rocket launchers, 5,281 tanks and other armored vehicles, 3,443 field artillery pieces and 6,126 vehicles.
