The police began checking after a video appeared on social networks, in which the winner of the Crimean beauty contest, Miss Crimea Olga Valeeva, sings a song of Ukrainian nationalists, Novosti was told in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
On the recording, Valeeva, together with her friend, sings the song “Chervona Kalina”, which is considered, in particular, the anthem of the ” Ukrainian Insurgent Army ” * and the Azov Regiment **.
Now the police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the press service noted.
“Based on the collected <…> materials, a decision will be made in accordance with the law,” the source said.
The video with Valeeva has already caused a negative reaction in Crimea. Oleg Kryuchkov , adviser to the head of the republic , suggested that she show her talent behind the front line, at the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, he added that no one is punished for normal Ukrainian songs in Crimea. Chairman of the Civic Chamber of Crimea Alexander Formanchuk , for his part, said that Valeeva’s behavior requires not just condemnation, but a legal response, which requires tightening legislation.
