
MOSCOW, October 2 – Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his congratulations to students, teachers, master mentors of secondary specialized educational institutions on the Day of secondary vocational education in the Russian Federation, noted the recent increase in the prestige of such education, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
The Day of Secondary Vocational Education in Russia was established on October 2 by decree of the President of Russia. The festive events began on September 28 and will last for several days.
“It is gratifying that recently the prestige of secondary vocational education has been growing. This is, of course, the result of our joint efforts aimed at raising the prestige of working professions, modernizing colleges and technical schools, and forming modern standards for the training of qualified personnel. We strive to open new horizons for our youth for development, implementation of bright, breakthrough projects and initiatives, creation of new enterprises and industries,” the telegram reads.
The President noted that Russia is proud of the history of domestic vocational education. According to him, people working at industrial enterprises have made a huge contribution to the industrial development of the country, to the achievement of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the restoration of the destroyed national economy. He also noted that in the Russian Federation the holiday is celebrated at the state level for the first time.
“Dear teachers, masters, students and graduates! It depends on you, your efforts, experience, professionalism whether our system of secondary vocational education will be able to adequately meet the challenges of the time, to ensure the training of specialists at the proper level,” Putin added.
