
St. Petersburg, October 2 – Novosti. Russia guarantees all peoples in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions the right to preserve their native language, follows from the rulings of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
“Article 3 of the Treaty under consideration, according to which the Russian Federation guarantees all peoples living in the territory of the LPR , DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the right to preserve their native language, create conditions for its study and development, fully complies with the requirements of Article 68 (part 3) of the Constitution Russian Federation,” the decree says.
The Constitutional Court (CC) of Russia recognized the treaties on the admission of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions , to the Constitution of the Russian Federation .
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27. According to the results of processing 100% of the ballots in the DPR, 99.23% of those who voted for joining the Russian Federation, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05%, in the Zaporozhye region – 93.11%.
