Russian servicemen, who underwent rehabilitation after injuries received during a special military operation, went on a railway cruise “Pearl of the Caucasus” as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Defense and JSC Russian Railways “We do not abandon our own.” This was reported in the military department.
“The first railway flight with servicemen who underwent rehabilitation after injuries received in the course of carrying out the tasks of a special military operation has already departed from Moscow . In total, two such flights are planned, more than 80 Russian servicemen, members of their families, as well as members of the families of servicemen will take part in them who died during a special military operation,” the ministry said.
In total, more than 500 people will take part in the project, the ministry said.
“I would like to wish the guys and their families who went on a trip to the cities of the Caucasus today as part of the project “We don’t leave our own” good health, a speedy recovery and positive emotions,” said Deputy Defense Minister, head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces – Colonel Viktor Goremykin .
Within the framework of the “We Don’t Leave Our Own” project, Russian Railways, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, organized two additional trips of the cruise tourist train – 930/929 “Pearl of the Caucasus” along the route Moscow / Rostov-on-Don – Nalchik – Grozny – Derbent – Kislovodsk – Rostov-on – Don / Moscow.
The first additional flight “Pearl of the Caucasus” departed from Moscow on October 1. The journey will last seven days and will take place in the “train-hotel” format, when the guests of the train ride the train at night, and devote the day to excursions. For a week, military personnel and their families will get acquainted with the history and culture of five southern cities at once, as well as see Elbrus and the mountain landscapes of the Chechen Republic, visit the Naryn-Kala citadel in Dagestan, walk along the Narzan Gallery in Kislovodsk and many other interesting places.
