Terrorist attack prevented in Kabardino-Balkaria

MOSCOW, October 2 – Novosti. In Kabardino-Balkaria, terrorists who planned to blow up a bridge near the village of Soldatskaya were liquidated, the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia reported.
“The Federal Security Service, together with the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard, prevented a sabotage and terrorist act. <…> As a result of operational-search activities near the railway bridge across the V.I. terrorists who installed an explosive device under the railway track.<…> In addition, an accomplice of the terrorists was detained,” the statement said.

Investigators and criminologists seized firearms and an explosive device found at the scene.
As noted in the FSB, the terrorists were neutralized in an attempt to resist, none of the security forces were injured.
It is specified that the means and tools for making explosive devices, as well as various means of communication, were found at one of the criminals’ homes.
The regional department of the UK opened a criminal case under the articles: “Encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers”, “Illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of weapons committed by a group of persons” and “Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of explosives or explosive devices “.
