MOSCOW, October 2 – Novosti. The President of Russia appoints the acting heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions within 10 days from the date of admission of new subjects to the Russian Federation, follows from the text of the decisions of the Constitutional Court (CC) of the Russian Federation.
The Constitutional Court recognized the treaties on the admission of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, to the Russian Constitution.
“The President of the Russian Federation, within 10 days from the date of admission to the Russian Federation of the Kherson region and the formation of a new subject within the Russian Federation, appoints an interim senior official of the Kherson region – the governor of the Kherson region for the period until the election of the elected in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation governor of the Kherson region,” the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation on the case of checking the constitutionality of the international Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Kherson region on the admission of the Kherson region into the Russian Federation and the formation of a new subject as part of the Russian Federation is said.
