
St. Petersburg, October 2 – Novosti. The transitional period for the integration of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the economic, financial, credit and legal systems of the Russian Federation, as well as into the system of public authorities of the Russian Federation, is valid from the day they are accepted into Russia until January 1, 2026, follows from the decisions of the Constitutional Court RF.
The Constitutional Court (CC) of Russia recognized the treaties on the admission of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions , to the Constitution of the Russian Federation .
“In accordance with Article 6 of the Treaty under consideration, from the date of admission to the Russian Federation of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the formation of a new subject within the Russian Federation and until January 1, 2026, there is a transitional period during which the issues of integration of the Donetsk People’s Republic into the economic, financial, credit and the legal system of the Russian Federation, into the system of state authorities of the Russian Federation, as well as issues of military duty and military service on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the resolution on the admission of the DPR to Russia says.
A similar term for the transition period is set in the remaining three treaties.
