
MOSCOW, October 2 – Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a speech at a rally-concert on Red Square, warned the West about the readiness to fight to the end, the New York Times writes .
The publication believes that the head of state’s rhetoric regarding the conflict with Western countries was tougher than before.
“Putin tried to show the West his determination: he does not give in to the pressure of sanctions and arms supplies to Ukraine and will continue to fight,” the publication says.
The authors of the article believe that the Russian leader has demonstrated to the rest of the world a desire to lead a global movement against US hegemony .
He said the West had not changed since the days when it ruthlessly colonized other countries and waged wars for economic gain.
On Friday, Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at a rally-concert on Red Square in honor of the results of the referenda on joining Russia to the DPR , LPR , Kherson and Zaporozhye regions . He called the day of signing the agreements historic and noted that Moscow gave the inhabitants of these regions the right to choose, and they did.
Shortly before this, a ceremony of signing agreements on the admission of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia was held in the St. George’s Hall of the Kremlin . The documents were signed by Vladimir Putin and the heads of regions: Denis Pushilin, Leonid Pasechnik, Evgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo.
