
MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. Tourists who have ended their vacation leave Crimea on a planned basis, cancellations of booked tours do not exceed 25%, representatives of large Russian tour operators told Novosti.
“According to cancellations (vouchers to the Crimea – ed.) – no more than 25%. Tourists with long-distance arrivals for the November holidays or the New Year do not cancel tours,” Intourist said.
They reported that travelers, in spite of everything, continue to go on vacation to the peninsula. “We have those who successfully checked into the hotel yesterday,” the company’s press service said.
Intourist also said that those tourists whose vacation ended as planned are returning home. “Most are going home by train today,” they said.
“About 2-3% was canceled from the next races, those who were in the Crimea for a day were delayed, they are leaving today,” said Sergey Romashkin , general director of the Dolphin tour operator .
On Saturday, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) reported that a truck exploded on the Krymsky Bridge in the early morning of October 8, causing the fire of seven fuel tanks of the train. There was a partial collapse of two automobile spans of the bridge. The arch over its land part is not damaged, the NAC said.
Earlier on Saturday, the head of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry, Ilya Umansky, told Novosti that the number of tourists in Crimea was estimated at tens of thousands, several thousand were supposed to leave in the coming days. According to him, all tour operators have confirmed that there will be no problems with the return of funds for trips to the Crimea. Chernyshenko earlier on Saturday instructed to take all necessary measures to support tourists from the regions now in Crimea, Novosti was told in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister. He also instructed to assess the collateral damage caused to organizations of the tourist and hotel industry in Crimea and Sevastopol , develop support measures, and Rostourism, the Ministry of Digital Development, and Crimea to organize round-the-clock operation of a hotline for tourists.
