DONETSK, October 9 – Novosti. The sounds of explosions of artillery shells are heard in the northern outskirts of Donetsk, Novosti correspondent reports.

According to the headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR, as a result of the shelling by Ukrainian militants of the Kievsky district of Donetsk, apartment buildings on Sobinova Street were damaged.
The representative office of the DPR in the JCCC clarified that three shells of the “NATO” caliber of 155 millimeters were fired at the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, three more – at Yasinovataya, and four more – at the Kirovsky district of Makeyevka. One shell with a caliber of 155 millimeters was fired at the Kievsky district of Donetsk. Five shells with a caliber of 152 mm were fired at the village of the Gagarin mine in Gorlovka .
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Kyiv with long-range M-777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Also, the Kyiv troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
