MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. Hurricane Julia has hit the coast of Nicaragua, according to the US National Hurricane Center (NHC).
“Data from satellites and radars in Nicaragua indicate that the center of the “Julia” has collapsed on the coast of Nicaragua in the area (of the municipality – ed.) Laguna de Perlas,” the center said on Twitter.
The wind speed reaches 38 meters per second.
The NHC website notes that flash floods and mudslides are possible in Central America and southern Mexico due to the hurricane earlier in the week .
