MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. The head of the Kyiv-controlled Zaporozhye Regional Administration (OVA), Oleksandr Starukh, said on Saturday that Zaporozhye was under shelling.
“Another attack! High probability of repeated attacks,” Starukh wrote in his Telegram channel.
He urged citizens to stay in shelters.
In turn, the secretary of the Zaporizhia OVA Anatoly Kurtev said that the infrastructure of the city had previously experienced destruction as a result of shelling. More detailed information is being clarified, he wrote in the Telegram channel.
According to the latest data, Ukrainian troops are concentrating significant forces in the Zaporozhye direction. They continue shelling districts and cities in the north of the Zaporizhia region , hitting infrastructure, Yevhen Balitsky, Acting Governor of the Zaporozhye region, said earlier.
To date, about 75% of the Zaporozhye region has been liberated. At the same time, the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye, remains under the control of Ukrainian troops.
As the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia”, a member of the main council of the regional administration, Vladimir Rogov , told Novosti earlier , control over the entire administrative border will be returned in the Zaporozhye region, the Ukrainian army will not be in the region
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously signed federal constitutional laws on the admission of new territories into Russia and the formation of new subjects of the Federation. Russia included LPR, DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. This happened after the referendums that took place in these regions on September 23-27. In the DPR, 99.23% of voters voted for this decision, in the LPR – 98.42%, in the Kherson region – 87.05% and in Zaporozhye – 93.11%.
