He noted that because of the OPEC + decision , the United States began to literally lose self-control.
“Their main task is to push through the decisions, which were partially adopted by the European Union in the last package of sanctions, at the cost of even destabilizing the global energy market. There are about the introduction of certain price ceilings and so on,” Peskov recalled.
Thus, in his opinion, the US is trying to manipulate its oil reserves by throwing additional amounts into the market.
“That is, in fact, such a game will not lead to anything good,” Peskov said.
And this lawlessness, he stressed, is opposed by the balanced, thoughtful and planned work of countries that occupy a responsible position within the framework of OPEC +, including Russia.
On October 5, the OPEC+ countries agreed to cut oil production by two million barrels per day from November. The alliance explained this decision by uncertainties in the global economy and the oil market. Despite the energy crisis that has covered Europe, and rising energy prices in other regions, this step was supported by all participants in the deal.
