Moldova urges authorities to respond to incident at Russian embassy

Earlier, the Chisinau police detained a man for hooliganism near the Russian embassy in Moldova. The Russian Embassy in Moldova sent a note of protest to Chisinau in connection with the action near the diplomatic mission and expects those responsible for the “hostile trick” to be found and punished.
“The Party of Socialists categorically condemns the provocative incident against the embassy of the Russian Federation in Moldova. The Party of Socialists demands from the leadership of Moldova, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to respond to what happened in accordance with the law and prevent the degradation of the situation,” reads a statement published on the website of the Socialist Party.
Socialists point out that any diplomatic mission operating in the territory of Moldova must be reliably protected.
“The actions of provocateurs who carried out an act of vandalism against the embassy, ​​as well as the lack of response from state officials and representatives of the Foreign Ministry, are a gross violation of the basic principles of international law.
