The Communist Party of the Russian Federation began the formation of regional branches on the territory of the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation – the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Denis Parfenov, a deputy from the Communist Party faction, said in his Telegram channel.
“The Communist Party forms regional branches in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Russia. The Communists in all four new regions of our country have begun the process of structural and organizational transformation into regional branches of the Communist Party,” he said.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27. 99.23% of those who voted in the DPR, 98.42% in the LPR, 87.05% in the Kherson region , and 93.11% in the Zaporozhye region supported this decision. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of the referendums, after which he signed agreements with the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on the admission of regions to Russia. Later, Putin signed federal laws ratifying the admission of these regions to the Russian Federation.
