MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. The first deputy head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma and deputy chairman of the health committee, Sergei Leonov, proposed the creation of an agency for loneliness to organize psychological assistance to citizens, he told Novosti.
“We consider one of the important tasks the development of tools for psychological assistance to citizens. To organize this work, it is necessary to create an Agency for Loneliness. A similar position already exists in the UK and Japan . Their task is to develop programs for psychological support for citizens,” Leonov said.
In Russia , according to the Ministry of Health, more than 5 million people suffer from mental disorders, the parliamentarian noted. Only a small proportion have severe forms, but insomnia, depression, and dispersal are an abnormal state of the psyche, Leonov noted.
“The main provocateur of such conditions is pathological loneliness, which is characteristic of residents of large cities living in the office-TV rhythm before going to bed … Therefore, primary psychological assistance should become publicly available, i.e. the main thing is to get rid of negative associations. Today, a person who has applied to the office psychotherapist, completely undeservedly causes unreasonable anxiety and almost condemnation among those around him,” the parliamentarian added.
