MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti . The summit of the European political community held in Prague the day before did not bring clarification to Europe on the issue of resolving the energy crisis, according to the story of the TV channel Das Erste.
“No decision has yet been made on the issue of the maximum price for gas: various models should be tested before the next meeting. Somewhere it must certainly be – clarification,” the TV channel notes.
However, this “obviously is not observed” at the summit, Das Erste points out. “Maybe a simple price ceiling – that is, setting maximum prices for purchases? So far, no – such an answer was given in Prague,” the material says.
Some European leaders fear that the region will then “be squeezed.” The plot allows for the option of joint purchases of gas, but this, as emphasized, will take time.
“But, perhaps, a completely different clarification will emerge – the next summit will take place in just two weeks: not in Prague – in Brussels,” the channel sums up.
After the start of the Russian special operation to liberate Donbass , Western countries imposed numerous sanctions against Moscow. The rupture of business ties with Russia turned out to be a headache for the US , UK and the EU – it provoked an increase in the cost of living, high inflation and a fuel crisis.
