The Poles were advised to go to jail so as not to pay for electricity

MOSCOW, October 9 – Novosti. Polish journalist Lukasz Orbitowski jokingly shared with readers how to stop paying rising electricity bills. His feuilleton was published in Onet.pl.
According to the author, he has been teaching literature in one of the correctional institutions for a year. In the classroom, Orbitovsky writes, completely different topics are discussed: from poetry to the Russian special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine . The rise in prices for gas and electricity has not gone unnoticed.
“The guys snorted with laughter. I heard: “We don’t care, it doesn’t concern us,” he wrote.
“That’s how I learned the only way to avoid receiving nightmarish bills. You need to go to jail immediately,” Orbitovsky summed up.

The Poles began to warm themselves with garbage
Previously , Poland completely banned the import of coal from Russia . This has dramatically affected the availability of coal on the market and its price. On April 27 , Gazprom suspended gas exports by the Polish PGNiG , as well as the Bulgarian Bulgargaz, due to non-payment for deliveries under the new scheme in rubles. This was followed by a sharp rise in the price of energy, heat and electricity.
In connection with the current situation, local governments are forced to take radical austerity measures – turn off street lighting, lighting of buildings, street fountains, suspend the operation of sports facilities. Several Polish universities have already announced that they will switch to distance learning in order to save on heating and lighting.
After the start of the Russian special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, the West stepped up sanctions pressure on Moscow : Russian assets worth hundreds of billions of dollars were frozen, the European Union has already adopted seven packages of restrictive measures, including an embargo on coal and oil. However, the population of European countries has already faced a significant rise in the price of food, fuel and electricity, and the authorities are forced to introduce austerity measures due to the energy crisis.
