PARIS, Oct 3 – Novosti. Russia remains a major power that cannot be ignored, dialogue with it continues, said French Prime Minister Elisabeth Born.
“Russia remains a major power that will not cease to be our neighbor tomorrow, we cannot ignore it. The future will be decided at the negotiating table, and not on the battlefield. Therefore, the President of the Republic chose to continue the dialogue with the President of Russia,” Born said at a meeting in National Assembly (lower parliament of France ), dedicated to the situation in Ukraine .
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that France should do everything for Ukraine and Russia to return to the negotiating table as soon as both sides are ready to do so. He noted that a respectful dialogue with Russia is effective and allows achieving results.
