Issues of military service in the new regions will be settled by January 1, 2026

MOSCOW, October 3 – Novosti. Issues of military service in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions will be settled during the transition period until January 1, 2026, follows from the texts of the agreements between the new regions and Russia.
All four agreements were published on Monday on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“From the day the Donetsk People’s Republic was accepted into the Russian Federation and a new subject was formed as part of the Russian Federation and until January 1, 2026, a transitional period is in force, during which… issues of military duty and military service on the territory of the DPR are settled,” the document says.
Corresponding articles are also in the agreements with the LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
All four agreements also state that before January 1, 2026, the issues of integrating new regions into the economic, financial, credit and legal systems of the Russian Federation, as well as into the system of Russian authorities will be settled.
