
MOSCOW, October 3 – Novosti. The Federation Council will include two senators each from the DPR and the LPR, and initially one representative each from the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, said Pavel Krasheninnikov, head of the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation.
“The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly will include two representatives from the DPR and LPR, and initially – one from the executive body of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, one more senator from the regions will be appointed after the formation of the legislative bodies of these subjects,” Krasheninnikov said during his speech in the State Duma on Monday.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin following the results of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions into Russia. Later, the Constitutional Court of Russia recognized these treaties as corresponding to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
