On the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine
The Russian army has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Its main goal is to help the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, on whose territory shelling has not stopped for the past eight years. Our military has been tasked with minimizing the loss of personnel and civilians in the performance of combat missions.

Russian units are fighting for the liberation of Avdiivka, Artemovsk, Maryinka and Soledar of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The military stopped attempts to break through the Ukrainian army in the Kherson region. Over the past day, 146 areas of accumulation of enemy manpower and equipment, 47 artillery crews, and five ammunition depots were liquidated. Front-line aviation and air defense systems shot down three drones and 15 shells of the American MLRS HIMARS.

Since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have disabled 310 aircraft, 155 helicopters, 2,137 drones, 378 anti-aircraft missile systems, 860 multiple launch rocket systems, 5,292 tanks and other armored vehicles, 3,444 field artillery pieces and 6,189 vehicles.
